My Favorite Bible Heros

The bible was meant to guide us through life. God knew his people would need encouragement and testimony. I have not read through the whole bible, but many chapters and many verses have changed my life. No matter where you are in life, the bible has everything you need and more. When I need to remember to be strong I think of Esther, and I remember the courage she had.

Esther 4:16- Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

She knew going before the king would mean instant death, yet she still went to plead for her people. Her story reminds me that God is always working in the backyard.

Esther 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Additional Lessons Learned

·       Fasting & Praying changes the circumstance.

·       God is always on time.

·       God will ALWAYS protect his own.

·       We must trust God through it all.

·       Stand up for what you know is right.

Now let’s talk about my guy Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 1:7 - But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.

God called to Jeremiah in a dream. Though his father was a priest, he abandoned all he knew to serve God. He could’ve chosen to ignore the calling on his life. But he chose to serve God even when others ridiculed him. He knew that God would work it out. The book of Jeremiah also shows us how sinful we as humans can often be. It also warns us to forget our sinful ways and honor God.

It literally inspires purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

The bible is meant to be a guide. God wants us to know that the time is coming to a close. I’m a sucker for marvel movies just like the next person. But, when I am sad, lost and or confused. I don’t look to iron man. I look to real life believers and how they came over.
